Waythrough provides specialist support across mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas. We deliver high-quality, evidence-based services designed around the real needs of the people we serve. Every year, we support around 125,000 people through over 250 services – and it is all made possible by our 3,500 staff and volunteers. We value our volunteers and seek to ensure their diverse roles are rewarding and beneficial to all.

We are looking for a creative and motivated volunteer to support the service in increasing its social media presence. You will promote our work, share positive stories, and help us connect with a wider audience online while ensuring all communications reflect our brand and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating visual content using Canva for social media and internal communications
  • Drafting and scheduling posts to promote service activities, awareness campaigns, and community engagement
  • Collaborating with staff, client users and volunteers to gather content, quotes, stories, and creative ideas for social media
  • Helping shape and develop a unified online identity that attracts and engages a broad range of followers
  • Supporting occasional campaigns or themed content (e.g. Alcohol Awareness Week, World Mental Health Day, Recovery Month)
  • Adhering to data protection, safeguarding, media consent, social media policy and brand guidelines

The team would appreciate a minimum of 4 hours in any of the following days/times (preferably half or full day): Monday to Friday, 9:15am to 5:15pm.
