We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Service Sales to lead and grow our Industrial Door Service Sales function. In this role you will play a key role in shaping service sales strategy, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our service portfolio meets evolving market and customer needs. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth across service contracts, renewals, and digital service offerings, while developing and inspiring a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Market Leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Represent the business at customer events, trade shows and industry forums
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to influence service strategy and offer development
- Sales Excellence & Revenue Growth
- Own service contract revenue, renewals, pricing strategy and profitability
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase customer value
- Lead negotiations and close complex service and maintenance contracts
- Improve sales processes, CRM accuracy and forecasting quality
- Support budget planning, forecasting and margin improvement initiatives
- Digital & Innovative Service Offerings
- Lead the commercialisation of digital and IoT-based service solutions
- Integrate digital services into maintenance contracts and new sales opportunities
- Act as a digital ambassador, promoting innovation and adoption internally and externally
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic service sales plans to achieve growth targets
- Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal commercial and operational teams
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach and develop a multi-site service sales team (direct and indirect reports)
- Conduct performance reviews, recruitment and salary discussions
- Build a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing sales culture
- Performance & Reporting
- Define and track KPIs to measure sales performance and profitable growth
- Produce clear performance reports and present insights to senior stakeholders
About You
You should be a confident leader with strong commercial judgement and a proven background in service or service sales.
You should bring:
- Proven leadership experience within service or service sales and a strong B2B sales background with experience of complex contracts
- Excellent business acumen and financial understanding
- Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop sales teams
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills and be able to engage at all levels internally and externally
- Experience using CRM/ERP systems and MS Office
- Full UK driving licence.
