As our Fabricator at Senior Architectural Systems, you will play a key role in delivering hands-on training in the fabrication and installation of our aluminum windows, doors, and curtain walling systems. This training will be provided to both new and existing fabricators, either in our workshop, at customer premises, or directly on-site. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our partners are confident and skilled in working with Senior’s product range, helping to uphold the high standards of quality and performance we’re known for.
You would also:
- Work in the workshop to verify new product manuals, comment on ease of fabrication, or ways of improving details to benefit mass production by customers.
- Attend site to investigate faults, identify the potential causes of these faults and write reports to detail the faults back to customers.
- Undertake onsite Toolbox talks, discussing the relevant system installation details in accordance with our manuals.
- Produce product samples for testing to a high-level fabrication. Attend test facilities to test the products and analyze any possible issues with the test samples that may occur.
- Be familiar with test procedures to ensure testing is carried out correctly.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a full clean driving license and the ability to travel and stay away throughout the week when required.
- Has a good level of communication to shop floor/office staff and installation teams.
- Has an intricate knowledge of the correct fabrication procedures for all SAS products as well as the ability to read Logikal cutting and assembly sheets for fabrication purposes.
- Has a good understanding of product manuals and which sections detail which phases of fabrication.
- Is reasonably competent in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint would be advantageous.
