Reports to: Head of Technology/Chief Technology Officer

Location: London, W2 6HY, UK

Role: Full time (37.5 hours per week). Minimum three days per week in the office.

Record seeks an experienced and technically capable Head of Infrastructure to lead the delivery, operation, security, and continuous improvement of the firm's global infrastructure services. This role is responsible for ensuring that infrastructure platforms remain secure, resilient, scalable, and fit for purpose, supporting the business's operational, regulatory, and strategic requirements. The successful candidate will lead infrastructure operations, cloud services, end-user computing, networking, workplace technology, operational resilience activities, and infrastructure project delivery. The role combines strong technical leadership with hands-on operational management and requires an individual capable of leading a high-performing team while maintaining close oversight of key technology platforms and third-party service providers.

The Head of Infrastructure is responsible for executing and delivering against strategic objectives set by the CTO, who retains ownership of technology strategy, architecture, cyber strategy, technology risk, operational resilience governance, technology budgets, and Board-level technology reporting.

The relevant team is based in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Operations

Lead the day-to-day operation of the firm’s global infrastructure environment. Ensure infrastructure services meet agreed availability, performance, resilience, and security requirements. Own operational support delivery across cloud, network, server, storage, end-user computing, and workplace technology platforms. Act as senior escalation point for major infrastructure incidents and service disruptions. Develop, monitor, and report on operational KPIs, SLAs, service performance, and capacity metrics. Maintain infrastructure lifecycle management plans covering hardware, software, cloud services, and supporting technologies.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across infrastructure disciplines.
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Ensure solutions are implemented in accordance with technology standards and architectural principles established by the CTO.
