Job Summary
Are you ready to take your customer service skills on the road? We’re looking for a proactive and personable Site Liaison Officer to join our Business & Industry team. In this role, you’ll move beyond phone-based support to build strong, face-to-face relationships with our customers. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients across sectors such as retail, facilities management, and manufacturing, helping them drive positive change and improve sustainability practices.
What you’ll be doing:
- Visiting customer sites to provide support, guidance, and deliver Toolbox Talks that influence sustainable behaviours.
- Acting as the key point of contact for your portfolio, building trusted relationships and ensuring high levels of service.
- Managing your own diary and travel schedule to maximise efficiency.
- Representing our values and services with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Ideally, you will need to be located in the Midlands or surrounding areas for regular travel across a territory stretching from North London to Yorkshire and Northumberland, with the potential for national coverage as needed. You’ll need good access to the motorway to support efficient travel. While we prefer candidates located within the Midlands, we are open to considering applicants from other regions, provided they can meet the travel requirements. You will have the autonomy to manage your own diary, optimising your schedule for efficiency. This may include overnight stays in hotels when appropriate, depending on business needs and travel demands. When not on the road, you’ll work from home, with occasional visits to Head Office.
What we need from you:
- Experience in waste management or a relevant environmental background (e.g., university modules).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own diary effectively.
- Excellent communication skills – confident speaking to small groups and building rapport.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
What we offer:
- Holidays - 23 days of annual leave, increasing to 25 days after two years of service, plus bank holidays. After one year, you can also take advantage of our holiday buy/sell scheme for added flexibility.
- Birthday Leave - Enjoy your special day off once you reach one year of service.
- Volunteering Day - One paid day per year to support a local community project.
- MyPerks Platform - Access a wide range of discounts, cashback offers, cycle-to-work schemes, mortgage advice, wellbeing support, and more!
- Gym Discounts - Corporate discounts at selected local gyms.
- Financial & Family Support - Competitive pension contributions, life assurance, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
- Employee Referral Programme - Recommend great talent and earn a reward.
- Long Service Awards - Celebrating your milestones with us.
- Reward & Recognition Schemes - Recognising and celebrating achievements across the business.
- Company car, mobile phone, and laptop to support you in managing the travel requirements of the role efficiently and effectively.
Please note: The closing date for applications is indicative and may be brought forward due to the high volume of applications we are currently receiving. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
