About the role
We're looking for a Interim Procurement Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in driving value, innovation, and sustainable sourcing across our organisation. Initially offered on a 3-month interim basis, this role has genuine potential to become a longer-term or permanent opportunity for the right person. We're looking for someone who can quickly make an impact, bring fresh thinking and help strengthen our procurement function. This is more than a traditional procurement role. You'll be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring we maximise commercial value whilst supporting our ambitious sustainability goals. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll influence decision-making, negotiate complex contracts, manage risk and identify opportunities to improve how we work.
We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with a collaborative approach. Someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, challenging the status quo, and finding smarter ways of doing things. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery whilst helping us drive operational excellence and positive environmental impact. This is a fully remote role with a salary of £60,000 - £70,000, depending on experience. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful contribution from day one whilst exploring the potential for a longer-term career within a purpose-led organisation. If you're passionate about procurement, sustainability, and making a tangible difference in a business that's helping shape a more circular future, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing activities and procurement initiatives that deliver value, drive efficiencies, and support Reconomy's sustainability goals.
- Build and manage key supplier relationships, including performance reviews, contract negotiations, and ongoing commercial management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, mitigate risk, and improve processes through data-driven procurement decisions.
- Lead tender processes from end to end, ensuring robust sourcing strategies and best-practice procurement governance.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making across the business.
- Partner with colleagues across Property & Facilities, Finance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to deliver procurement solutions that support business growth and performance.
What we need from you
You'll be a commercially minded procurement professional who knows how to balance cost, quality, and risk while building strong relationships across the business and supplier network. You'll bring:
- Strong procurement and contract management experience, ideally with a background in Property and Facilities Management.
- A solid understanding of supplier contracting, tendering processes and commercial negotiations.
- Confidence reviewing contracts and negotiating terms to secure the best outcomes for the business.
- The ability to lead complex initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive meaningful change.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
- A collaborative approach to building supplier partnerships that deliver innovation, value, and responsible sourcing.
- A proactive mindset when identifying and managing supply chain, compliance, environmental, and social risks.
What we offer
This role offers the opportunity to join a friendly, diverse, and international organisation where you'll work alongside talented colleagues who share a passion for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. From day one, you'll have the chance to make a real impact, working on meaningful procurement initiatives that support the business's commercial and sustainability objectives. We encourage ongoing learning and development, providing opportunities to broaden your knowledge, share best practice, and stay connected to the latest industry trends and technologies. As a fully remote opportunity, you'll benefit from the flexibility to work from wherever you perform at your best, whilst remaining connected to a supportive and collaborative team. Whilst this role is initially offered on a 3-month interim basis, there is genuine potential for it to develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right person. We offer a competitive salary alongside the opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven business helping organisations create a more sustainable future.
