Job Overview:
As the Director of Product Management, you will lead the product strategy, vision, and execution for a portfolio of products while working closely with the EVP of Technology and Engineering. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage managers at the senior leadership level, ensuring alignment of product roadmaps with both business and technical goals. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, customer insights, and competitor analysis to guide product innovation and strategy. Additionally, you will oversee product finance and budgeting, ensuring efficient resource allocation. You will collaborate with the Head of Engineering, Director of Finance, VP, and Directors of Markets driving product development from concept to launch.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the Comply Division product vision, strategy, and roadmap that align with the company’s business and technical goals. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and differentiation strategies for the product portfolio. Collaborate with other division product leaders to align on the Group product strategy.
- Financial Oversight & Resource Allocation: Manage product budgets, oversee resource allocation, and ensure financial performance aligns with company objectives. Work with finance teams on forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability goals.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Portfolio Lead product managers , developing a high-performing product management organization of 26 professionals. Foster collaboration and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, QA, marketing, and sales teams to oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful product launches. Communicate product strategies and progress to senior stakeholders to ensure business and technical alignment.
- Product Development & Agile Processes: Implement Agile methodologies to manage product lifecycle development, ensuring continuous iteration, delivery, and product improvement. Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs, business goals, and technological feasibility.
- Metrics & KPIs: Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, market fit, and user and business stakeholder satisfaction. Use data-driven insights for product improvements and market adaptation.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other business units to create and execute go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing managers.
- Proven experience working with business and technology teams to align product initiatives with business and technical goals.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated success in building and launching products, with experience in both strategic planning and tactical execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and at the executive level.
- Expertise in market research, competitor analysis, and product finance management.
- Proven track record of developing and mentoring senior-level managers and high-performing teams.
