We are looking for a Waste Operations/Contract Manager to join our Business & Industry team, supporting our client on a large manufacturing site. This position is vital to ensure that our client receives the most practical and efficient solutions for their resource management needs. You will develop and maintain relationships with key contacts at various levels, regularly reviewing the account and identifying opportunities for further business and growth., + Manage and maintain a strategic client account site(s) in line with revenue and budget targets ensuring profitability, stability and retention of the clients business.

Ensure that service delivery is being carried out accordingly and proactively seek sustainable development opportunities and identify optimisations across the estate with our client.

Manage existing areas and locations, continually assessing the current waste solution in respect of practical delivery of requirement and value for money.

Lead and manage your team in order to ensure that the service provided meets the clients requirements and standards through regular reviews, checks and monitoring of site performance.

Provide proposals as to how services could be improved, demonstrating enhanced service, ease of use and commercial benefit.

Monthly preparation and analysis of client management information.

Develop and maintain a relationship with key contacts and influencers on site.

Investigate and advise on any issues with service providers.

Maintain a flow of timely information to the client and Reconomy offices regarding changes or further opportunities on site.

Resolve any client-related issues or disputes.

Review site practices and routines to ensure compliance with best practice and relevant legislation.

Solid experience in waste management solutions and best practice.

Business and customer-oriented team player with ability to form alliances.

Strong influencing and communication skills at all levels within an organisation.

Ability to handle and manage high volume of work, short deadlines and travel.

Confidence with information analysis and problem solving.

Excellent business acumen.

Comfortable using the Microsoft Suite.

Full UK driving licence – you will spend a lot of time out on the road.

Overnight stays to be expected from time to time, as this is a National role.

23 days holiday, increasing to 25 days at 2 years’ service (plus bank holidays). Once you have 1 years’ service, you will be able to join the holiday buy/sell scheme, providing more flexibility in how you manage your annual leave.
