About the role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on engineering experience who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment and is eager to contribute to innovative projects.
Some of the key duties include:
- Confidently remove and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Fault find and repair low-voltage PLC-based control and safety systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries to site as a second person.
- Wash, strip, prepare, paint, and reassemble equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop, yard, and building.
- Support general building maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the stores person to organise stock and parts.
What we need from you:
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Proven engineering experience across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Practical knowledge of PLC control systems.
- A hands-on, proactive approach to workshop tasks.
- Willingness to travel to site using a pool vehicle when required.
- Must be commutable to Waltham Abbey.
