About the role: The Junior Completions Manager supports the Completions team in progressing credit-approved deals through to drawdown, ensuring transactions move efficiently and accurately through each stage of the process. The role focuses on effective task management, process execution, and administrative support across the deal pipeline, whilst taking ownership of and managing a pipeline of credit-approved deals. Working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers, the Junior Completions Manager helps coordinate activities, maintain accurate records, and provide timely updates, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality customer experience and the successful completion of transactions within agreed service levels and timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the progression of credit-approved deals from approval through to drawdown, ensuring all required actions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Monitor and manage an allocated pipeline of transactions, proactively identifying and escalating queries, delays, and bottlenecks to support timely completions.
- Liaise with Lending Managers, Underwriters, Legal, Compliance, customers, introducers, solicitors, valuers, and other third-party suppliers to support the smooth progression of cases.
- Coordinate the completion of pre-drawdown requirements, ensuring documents, conditions, and supporting information are obtained and reviewed in line with procedures.
- Complete Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), credit searches, and fraud checks in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry and maintenance of loan data and customer records across internal systems.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on case progress and supporting the management of expectations throughout the completion process.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with internal policies, risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilise internal systems effectively to record, track, and manage deal progression, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Support the testing, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of operational systems and processes, including participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience through continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to operational reporting by maintaining accurate records and providing updates on pipeline activity when required.
- Complete Experian credit searches, World-Check screening, fraud checks, and other due diligence activities for own deals and in support of wider team completions, ensuring results are accurately recorded and escalated where appropriate.
- Obtain, review, and validate customer information and supporting documentation to satisfy onboarding, compliance, and pre-drawdown requirements across own and shared pipeline cases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services, lending operations, or a related administrative environment.
- Basic understanding of lending products and the financial services sector.
- Knowledge of KYC and AML principles, with a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and identifying potential risks during completion activities.
- Practical experience undertaking credit searches and World-Check checks, ensuring accurate due diligence and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Proficient in using systems and technology to manage workflows, maintain accurate records, and support operational processes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to producing quality work.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and process-driven, with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
