About the role

This will be a 9 month Fixed Term Contract. The Lending Support Associate plays a key role in the delivery of a high-quality intermediary and customer journey by helping onboard broker partners, managing incoming lending enquiries and packaging lending cases to a high standard. The role ensures applications are complete, compliant and aligned to the Bank's lending appetite, enabling Lending Manager colleagues to progress suitable opportunities efficiently through to Credit review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the onboarding of intermediary broker partners, ensuring documentation and due diligence requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage incoming lending enquiries, ensuring opportunities are captured, recorded and progressed through agreed processes.
  • Review application information and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and quality before submission to Lending Managers.
  • Package lending cases in line with policy, regulatory requirements and the Bank's lending appetite.
  • Collaborate with Lending Managers to progress applications and maintain momentum throughout the customer journey.
  • Monitor application pipelines and proactively follow up outstanding information to minimise delays.
  • Engage with brokers, customers and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates and deliver a positive service experience.
  • Escalate risks, issues or exceptions promptly where applications fall outside policy or risk appetite.
  • Maintain accurate records and management information within relevant systems and workflow tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality and broker experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Good standard of general education, with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Some experience of working in a customer focused, administrative or professional environment, gained through employment, work experience, apprenticeship or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse information and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Desirable:

  • Degree educated or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience within financial services, banking, lending or intermediary distribution.
  • An interest in financial services, property and lending, with an enthusiasm to develop knowledge of the lending process, broker relationships and credit assessment.
