About the role: As a Manufacturing Technician, we’ll depend on you to keep things running like clockwork. A hands-on, operations and technical role, you’ll have your own area of responsibility but be able to apply your skills across the factory. Our environment is state of the art, clean and as a leading blue chip company we offer excellent career development opportunities within.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the line hits its hourly targets.
  • Get it set up and running in a manner that maximises performance in a fast-paced and high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Be the first response to any breakdowns or set up issues on your line; utilising root cause problem solving skills and implementing fixes in a time conscious manner.
  • Maintaining plant and machinery to a very high standard through PPM.
  • Taking the lead on troubleshooting.
  • Proactively finding ways to improve line performance utilising key skills in innovation and teamwork.
  • Taking ownership of scheduling maintenance effectively to maximise service levels.
  • Carrying out condition-based maintenance (CBM) to minimise impact to service.

Working Hours: You’ll be contracted to an average of 39 hours per week. We have a flex 4 contract in place, which includes the possibility of working 4 different shift patterns. The 3 shift and continental shift patterns (four on, four off) are the most predominant on site. We will always try and work with you to give you the shift pattern most suitable, however this isn’t always feasible and is dependent on business needs.

The experience we’re looking for:

  • You hold a level 3 engineering or maintenance qualification.
  • You have a strong mechanical aptitude and thrive in a fast paced FMCG environment.
  • You can troubleshoot and repair sophisticated machinery (such as electrical, pneumatic or mechanical systems).
  • You can respond urgently to immediate problems but be disciplined enough to plan routine tasks, future improvements and preventative maintenance.
  • You are an effective communicator, who can both influence and keep others well informed.
  • You like to innovate and challenge the status quo.

What we offer: With inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way. We invest in the wellbeing of our people through parental benefits, an Employee Assistance Program to promote mental health, and life insurance for all employees globally. We have a range of other benefits in line with the local market. Through our global share plans we offer the opportunity to save and share in Reckitt's potential future successes. For eligible roles, we also offer short-term incentives to recognise, appreciate and reward your work for delivering outstanding results. You will be rewarded in line with Reckitt's pay for performance philosophy.

Equality: We recognise that in real life, great people don’t always 'tick all the boxes'. That’s why we hire for potential as well as experience. Even if you don’t meet every point on the job description, if this role and our company feels like a good fit for you, we still want to hear from you. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, disability or medical condition; colour, ethnicity, race, citizenship, and national origin; religion, faith; pregnancy, family status and caring responsibilities; sexual orientation; sex, gender identity, gender expression, and transgender identity; protected veteran status; size or any other basis protected by appropriate law.
