Our Process Engineers are responsible for a cell's short term performance, working closely with Process Leads, Maintenance, Operations, and reporting into our Site Improvement Engineer. They act as a core process owner and subject matter expert for assigned manufacturing technologies, equipment, or processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner with cell Process Leads to deliver Tactical Improvement Plans (TIP) to drive improvement of KPIs (i.e Planned and Unplanned Downtime Losses/Waste).
- Proactively drive and own actions from line level reviews.
- Actively build world class capabilities within the manufacturing environment.
- Lead implementation of centre lining, defect handling, best run settings, SMED.
- Lead complex problem-solving activities using structured CI tools (e.g. RCA, A3, DMAIC).
- Deliver daily improvement actions to reduce losses, improve efficiency, and enhance process robustness.
- Implement process improvements aligned to site CI strategy and business objectives.
- Review and address chronic losses at cell level through data-driven analysis and action plans.
- Develop and deliver process and continuous improvement training to operators, technicians, Engineers and cell leaders.
- Coach teams in CI methodologies, problem-solving tools, and standard work.
- Support talent development by embedding a continuous improvement culture.
The Experience We're Looking For
- Green Belt Six Sigma.
- Degree in Engineering or HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering with industry experience (desirable).
- 5–10 years of experience within manufacturing environment.
- Project Management qualification (desirable e.g. CAPM, PMP, APM, Prince2).
