This role involves working within the Reckitt SAP Competency Centre on ABAP development of the SAP template. The ideal candidate has over 15 years of ABAP development experience, has held team leadership roles, and is familiar with Business Technology Platform. Responsibilities include: Providing leadership and governance for the development team Maintaining system validation, documentation, and audit compliance Ensuring system upgradeability within SAP rules Key Outputs/Deliverables: Design, development, and implementation of ABAP solutions Best practices in system design and business processes Regulatory-compliant system documentation Supporting live operations and ongoing issues Skills development for team members Leadership on future SAP development strategies (e.g., SAP ABAP Cloud, Pro-code, No-code) Metrics: Timely delivery of change requests Successful project milestones Proactive skills development within the team Stakeholders: Collaborate with SAP Competency Centre members Coach team members Coordinate with global projects and initiatives Primary contact for SI partner (IBM) on SAP topics Participate in cross-functional project teams Willingness to travel for project needs Experience required: 15+ years in ABAP development Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Expertise in user-exits/BADIs, web services, SAP eInvoicing solutions Additional skills: Experience in a global organization Stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering Strong communication and relationship-building skills Methodologies: Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or other software delivery methodologies Behavioral qualities: Problem-solving and initiative Language skills (desirable) Process-oriented, articulate, confident presenter Team player with strong communication skills What we offer: We support our employees through inclusion, wellbeing programs, parental benefits, mental health support, life insurance, global share plans, and performance incentives.
