We understand that iterative method development in a lab takes a lot of time and resources to achieve a market launch. Adapting digital acceleration tools in the simulation and modelling space enables consumer-centric innovation at Reckitt - delivering sustainable and optimised products at a faster pace! Our IT&D team is expanding this capability. We have the ambition to transform our ways of working by integrating a "digital first" approach to science, innovation, R&D, packaging, and manufacturing. You could help us to use simulation technology to deliver a competitive edge.
Your responsibilities:
- Creating technical CAD models of product design, manufacturing processes and packaging variables
- Simulating models to determine design improvements with computational simulations
- Working with business users to support adoption of digital first tools and living the strategy, challenging where required alternative methods
- Working with third parties to deliver outsourced models where needed or appropriate
- Supporting the IT infrastructure required to deliver the software and hardware to the team and internal users
The experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive modelling experience in one of the technologies (CFD, FEA, DEM) in a similar industry
- Experience of managing HPC hardware and software to support efficient utilisation
- Knowledge of alternative simulation tools such as AI, statistical analytical chemistry and maths
- Experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders to balance business needs with IS standards and processes
- Enthusiastic about the use of technology, with a proven ability to provide a communication 'bridge' between the business and technologists
- Extensive experience of working in a mixed Waterfall and Agile delivery environment
- Experience of supporting complex change and/or multi-disciplinary projects
