About the role: Are you passionate about engineering and eager to gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art production and process environment? Reckitt's Engineering Apprenticeship provides an incredible opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry while working with cutting-edge technology in our advanced production facilities. You’ll be part of a dynamic engineering team, helping to maintain and optimize our production processes, while gaining practical experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of production equipment and machinery.
  • Support the engineering team in monitoring and improving production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Gain hands-on experience with automated systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other cutting-edge technologies used in our manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in process improvement projects, helping identify and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the production and process areas.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment and machinery.
  • Document and report on maintenance activities, system performance, and any issues that arise during production.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training and development activities to expand your technical knowledge and skills in industrial engineering.

The experience we’re looking for:

  • A motivated and curious individual with a keen interest in engineering, especially in manufacturing and process technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to learning and a passion for working with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, with the drive to learn and continuously improve.
  • Previous experience or a background in engineering (e.g., school projects, internships, or coursework) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
