The Digital Activation Hub Team at Reckitt Essential Home is a dynamic and highly skilled group dedicated to bridging the gap between marketing strategy and platform execution in digital media activations. This team is at the forefront of digital innovation, leveraging their extensive knowledge across various digital activation platforms to drive excellence in campaign performance. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Trading – you will be responsible for managing a team of Digital Media Managers, helping to streamline key processes across activation planning, whilst facilitating the sharing & embedding of platform best practices across our operations.
About the role
The Digital Trading Lead is instrumental in driving Reckitt Essential Home’s digital media trading operations, with a strategic focus on campaign activation planning and in-platform buying. As the senior lead in-market, you will ensure that all digital campaigns adhere to all media governance processes, established best practices, and inline with the brands marketing goals. Your role involves acting as the primary point of escalation for the Europe & LATAM Consumer Engagement team, facilitating the resolution of performance issues, addressing finance queries, and enhancing team processes to meet key deliverables.
You will strategically manage the team’s workload, assigning campaigns to digital traders and identifying resource needs to support optimal performance. By leveraging your expertise, you will improve operational efficiency and ensure that digital media activations are executed with BIC strategic planning, precision and excellence. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement in Reckitt’s digital media strategy.
You will oversee the planning & execution of digital media buying across the CE Brand Pods. You will be the in-market escalation point for the Consumer Engagement team – assisting in managing expectations & enforcing the agreed scope/deliverables of the team. Working with the digital media managers, operationalize and scale channel best practices (Social, YouTube, Programmatic and Retail Media) by leading the adoption of platform capabilities, planning principles, bidding strategies & effective campaign setups. Support the global trading head in the adoption of the current/future processes of the digital trading unit, thus recommending process improvements & automation opportunities. Deploy and drive adoption of key Reckitt ad tech tools, whilst providing clear trainings and recommendations on usage alongside the team. Work with the media ecosystem and partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon) to drive knowledge and inspiration sessions, bring forth and test new capabilities where necessary. Support Annual brand planning presentations working with the team to provide clear inputs on audiences, phasing, KPIs and placement strategies across platforms. Support the global trading head & comms lead develop and adopt global activation frameworks, digital media GSMs, media productivity levers. Foster a culture of learning, innovation and collaboration by providing constructive feedback and regular team reviews. Assign campaigns to the Digital Associates to activate in-platform, helping to coordinate & distribute workload across the team. Ensure all media trading activities comply with industry regulations & ethical standards. Manage the team quarterly finance cross-charges and handle ongoing invoice queries.
The experience we\\\'re looking for
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in digital media buying/planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem & operating biddable platforms
- Experience working & presenting to senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing teams & delivering business results
- Having worked on key projects/tasks that involved developing, implementing & scaling process improvements across media workflows
