The Design Excellence Lead – Motion/Sonic Identities is responsible for defining and implementing motion design and sonic branding strategies across Reckitt’s Powerbrands. This role ensures that brands are brought to life dynamically through motion graphics, animation, and sound design, creating distinctive and engaging consumer experiences across digital, packaging, and immersive brand touchpoints.
As a hands-on creative specialist, this role develops, refines, and implements motion and sonic identity frameworks, ensuring consistency, innovation, and brand distinctiveness. The Design Excellence Lead collaborates closely with Senior Design Excellence Managers, Digital, Marketing, and external production partners to create best-in-class brand storytelling through motion and sound.
Your responsibilities
- Motion Identity Development & Execution
- Lead the creation and implementation of motion identity systems, including brand animations, transitions, and logo movements.
- Develop motion principles and toolkits that ensure consistency across brand communications, digital experiences, and product packaging.
- Work with category teams to bring brand identities to life through animated assets, UI motion graphics, and experiential branding.
- Ensure all motion work aligns with global brand strategy, maintaining a consistent look, feel, and rhythm across Reckitt’s portfolio.
- Sonic Identity & Sound Design
- Define sonic branding guidelines, ensuring audio assets enhance brand recognition and emotional engagement.
- Oversee the development of brand soundscapes, audio signatures, and voice UX to enhance digital experiences and advertising.
- Collaborate with external music producers, sound designers, and voiceover artists to create unique sounds.
- Work with Marketing and Digital teams to integrate sonic branding into digital platforms, advertising, and retail activations.
- Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross functional teams to embed motion and sonic identity into key brand experiences.
- Work with packaging teams to explore innovative audio-visual elements, such as dynamic QR activations and digital packaging.
- Support the adoption of AI-driven motion design and generative audio tools to enhance efficiency and output.
- Conduct competitor and trend analysis, ensuring Reckitt’s brands are at the forefront of motion and sonic branding innovations.
- Training & Governance
- Establish best practices, guidelines, and training materials for motion and sonic identity execution.
- Educate internal teams and external partners on Reckitt’s motion and sonic brand principles.
- Ensure Reckitt’s motion and audio assets are well-documented and accessible, maintaining governance across global markets.
- Lead training sessions and workshops to elevate Reckitt’s internal capability in motion and sonic identity design.
The experience we\’re looking for
- Experience in motion design, animation, or sonic branding, preferably within a global agency or corporate setting.
- Proven experience developing motion and sonic identity systems for global brands.
- Strong expertise in motion graphics software (After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender) and audio design platforms (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Audition).
- Experience collaborating with brand teams, digital specialists, and external production agencies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted motion design tools, generative audio platforms, and immersive brand storytelling.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-impact motion and sonic brand executions.
