About the role: Health Professional (HCP) marketing is a critical part of the Reckitt strategy in order to achieve our purpose and ambition in Self Care, Intimate Wellness and Hygiene. The Global Health Professional Marketing team designs strong strategies and develops tested content to win with Healthcare Professionals (HCP) using patient insights, innovations, scientific evidence, Go To Market (GTM) roadmaps, and toolkits, which are implemented in country and measured against Key Performance Indicators.
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader to drive global HCP engagement and endorsement across our Germ Protection category, with primary accountability for Dettol. This role plays a critical part in shaping how healthcare professionals engage with and advocate for our brands, while also supporting the evolution of self-care HCP go-to-market capabilities.
Your responsibilities:
- Through a deep understanding of HCP/patient insights, category and brand science, develop robust and evidence-based HCP engagement and endorsement approaches.
- Work with I&A when developing interventions which aim to drive HCP engagement with improved hygiene.
- Work hand in hand with global regulatory, global medical science, CGO marketing and the countries to refine HCP engagement strategies.
- Management of external agencies in the delivery of global KOL endorsement programmes, playbooks and educational initiatives.
- Develop working relationships & partnerships with external key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and professional organisations in delivery of HCP communication strategies.
- Manage long-term global KOLs who support a range of HCP communication initiatives including brand fight, product launches, educational programme development and category guidelines.
- Guide and drive the publication of KOL-led consensus and opinion which drives hygiene relevance and behaviour.
Self-Care GTM:
- Support the development of playbook updates where HCP GTM and Capability building is needed at a global and regional level.
- Support the continuous improvement in competency frameworks for professional marketing and dedicated detailing to reflect organisational changes whilst coordinating with pharmacy sales in relation to detailing.
- Strong relationships with the country teams to deeply understand their current health professional engagement and dedicated detailing competencies and capabilities and drive training and educational initiatives tailored to their needs.
- Seek out best practice examples in HCP GTM and detailing capabilities within the markets and drive sharing and organisational capability building.
- Management of external agencies in the delivery of global capability building initiatives.
- Work alongside the rest of the Global Professional Marketing team to drive improved executional performance and cross-brand initiatives.
- Develop and evolve relevant competencies and capabilities in health professional marketing and dedicated detailing for the global and country teams to enhance effectiveness.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree level ideally in a science (e.g. microbiology), health professional or communication profession.
- Industry experience (more than 3 years) within scientific, communication, HCP marketing or HCP sales roles.
- Experience in HCP content creation / medical writing.
- KOL and agency management experience.
- Having worked previously in an international role would be an advantage.

- Would suit an individual with a scientific, sales or medical marketing background who has experience in communications.
- Insightful, with the ability to consolidate complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans whilst being resilient and able to respond under pressure.
- Possess excellent communication and influencing skills both verbally and written in the English language and communicate across a range of stakeholders both internal and external.
- Experience in developing and creating medical or healthcare materials/content/assets for HCP audiences including training materials.
- Previous experience of professional marketing or sales within OTC self-care categories would be an advantage.
- Ability to lead by embracing the leadership behaviours, living Reckitt purpose, fight and compass, finding improvement areas in the process and the team, actively listen to them and focusing on what really matters to inspire them and help them grow in their position and in the company.
