In this role you will lead analytical development for the OTC Upper Respiratory pipeline, shaping robust strategies and ensuring delivery from concept to factory scale. You will manage technical risk, support cross-functional teams, and bring high-quality, compliant products to market. You will drive feasibility, transfer methods, and contribute to ideation and benchmarking in a global matrix. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role in a purpose-led R&D environment. Responsibilities
- Own and deliver analytical development from concept to factory scale-up
- Define technical, consumer and product performance criteria for new developments
- Lead analytical feasibility ensuring milestones meet standards
- Identify technical risks and drive mitigation with cross-functional teams
- Support scale-up and technology transfer using QbD and DoE
- Contribute to ideation, concept development and competitive benchmarking
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing and external partners in a global matrix
- Ensure regulatory, quality and safety compliance (cGMP, cGLP, internal guidelines)
- Support creation of intellectual property and regulatory documentation
- Translate complex technical insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Coach and develop junior team members and contribute to scientific capability
Key requirements
- Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field
- Experience delivering development projects, ideally in OTC or regulated healthcare
- Strong knowledge of analytical product development across multiple formats
- Experience in analytical method development, validation and transfer
- Proficiency with GC, HPLC and UHPLC
- Ability to use analytical data to assess risks and define mitigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Experience working in cross-functional, matrix organisations
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex topics clearly
- Experience mentoring or supporting team members is beneficial
