About the role:

Locations: Hull (UK) or Bangplee (THA). Our Global Technology Engineer will focus on the development and deployment of our Self Care and Intimate Wellness (IW) processing technology for common production equipment within the Reckitt group, across all categories and geographies. They will provide technical leadership, expertise, and support for equipment and systems related to processing technology for liquids and creams manufacturing and own standardisation of equipment and vendor pool to leverage cost, lead time, efficiency and best practices. They will support compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of processing equipment in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, MHRA) and other business objectives.

Your responsibilities:

  • Engage cross-functional technical SMEs to set common standards for the related production equipment across categories and geographies.
  • Embed equipment standardisation within the CAPEX process to ensure equipment purchases follow process.
  • Engage procurement to develop a vendor pool for Self Care, and IW processing equipment, assisting in tender processes if required.
  • Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and IT/OT teams for new installations and upgrades.
  • Develop URSs and standards for equipment ensuring performance improvement and deploy across the business.
  • Provide technical advice through maintained up-to-date industry knowledge on packing inspection systems.
  • Delivery and assisting in delivery of key business Capex projects.
  • Provide key technical expertise to support and lead writing and reviewing URS, vendor selection, OEM progress monitoring, factory and site acceptance testing support (FAT & SAT) in support of Site Capital Engineering teams.
  • Review performance and KPI’s for key OEMs.
  • Ensure Self Care, and IW processing installations meet hygienic design, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • In collaboration with RPS and Reliability Engineering monitor equipment performance, reliability, and compliance and link to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Capture inputs from Reckitt production system (RPS) and Operations teams.
  • Work with vendors to ensure our standards are following the latest technological trends and where possible implement right innovative solutions which fit our business needs.

The experience we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering with 2 years of which in a senior project or engineering leadership role within the consumer-packaged goods or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in driving equipment standardisation single site or preferably across multisite or the group.
  • Background in Capex management, including project prioritisation, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in processing technologies, especially in the hygienic pharmaceutical or personal care industries.
  • Knowledge of mixers of different viscosity products and different types, storage, cleaning (CIP/SIP/Pigging), batching systems, valving and pump types, powder additions – bulk and others, and ATEX equipment standards.
  • Knowledge of process utility requirements including purified water, HVAC, process heating (steam / hot water), drainage, compressed air, power and data networking.
  • Experience with global or matrixed organisations; ability to navigate cross-functional and cross-regional complexity.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
