Overview
In this role you act as the medical partner for the Pain category in Africa, translating science into medical education and activation initiatives.
You will bridge Medical Affairs with Commercial teams, supporting regional stakeholders and collaborating with Global teams to shape evidence generation and dissemination.
You’ll influence medical strategy, ensure compliant activities, and build relationships with healthcare professionals and external partners.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary medical liaison between regional stakeholders and Global Medical Affairs
- Adapt and amplify global scientific evidence and activation plans for regional needs
- Provide medical insight to Category Activation, Professional Marketing and regional teams
- Support creation, review and approval of scientific and educational materials for HCPs
- Respond to medical and scientific enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Gather regional insights for global evidence generation and strategy discussions
- Collaborate on evidence dissemination, publications, congress activities and medical education initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with HCPs, KOLs and third‑party vendors
- Support regional training and capability‑building initiatives
- Ensure activities comply with scientific, regulatory and compliance standards
- Key requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences or related scientific discipline
- Experience in Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Medical or related healthcare/pharmaceutical function
- Experience bridging scientific and commercial teams for market activation
- Proven ability to adapt or communicate scientific content for different audiences
- Experience managing relationships with HCPs, KOLs or external stakeholders
- Strong scientific communication skills translating data into clear messages
- Experience in regional or international markets is advantageous
- OTC, consumer health or pharmaceutical environment experience preferred
- Ph D is a strong advantage
