About the role:
This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Reckitt is reimagining how creativity fuels growth - harnessing GenAI and modernising creative and localisation value chain. The position requires a highly motivated, well organised, flexible and pro-active Procurement Category Manager to:
- Play a pivotal role in shaping how Reckitt’s global ecosystem of agencies and studios deliver creative excellence at scale.
- Drive the transformation of our creative operating model – embedding new tools, frameworks, and ways of working that strengthen collaboration, unlock efficiencies, and elevate creative impact worldwide.
- Build and accelerate procurement strategies for the sub-category in scope through understanding of, and supporting internal stakeholders’ needs, professional sourcing approach, and building effective relationships and alignment with stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage, in autonomy, an identified sub-section of the Global Category, spread across 68 countries, including Corporate spending on the relevant categories, across a portfolio of approx. >40 suppliers.
- Drive global transformation initiatives across sub-sections of the Global Category (creative, localisation, technology partners) implementing Reckitt’s new ways of working and GenAI workbench.
- Shape and operationalise creative governance standards, performance frameworks, and KPIs that drive efficiency and measurable return on creative investment.
- Drive commercial and creative performance, using data and insights to identify optimisation opportunities, improve cost efficiency and elevate creative output.
- Directly lead & manage supplier consolidation and negotiation strategies focusing on transformations objectives and driving total value to Reckitt.
- Collaborate with the Indirect Procurement group in markets, to effectively deliver on specific projects (supplier and solution changes, identify and leveraging best practice).
- Drive change management in line with business goals.
- Track, report, and communicate transformation progress, surfacing insights that shape continuous improvement and future investment decisions.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in Procurement or Marketing. A degree in Finance, Business, or another relevant discipline will also be considered.
- Minimum 7 years’ work experience in indirect procurement (preferably marketing procurement), marketing operations, or agency management within global organisations or creative agency environments.
- Experienced with leading cross-functional sourcing projects.
- Ability to work in a truly global organisation.
- Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of the elements of creative agency pricing/operations and how to optimise it for value, performance and impact.
- Experience in complex negotiation techniques with good interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Strong ability to understand, analyse and present data, and assess supplier performance to support a proposed recommendation is essential to this role.
- High degree of fluency in English is required for negotiations and internal communications. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills verbally and written.
- Advanced proficiency of MS Excel.
