Role Location - Hull, HU8 7DS
Our mid term Production Planner is responsible for the planning of their respective production cells. They are the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for the site for any queries related to their assigned cells in that time frame. Their primary objectives and KPI’s are:
- Pack Fill Rate
- Capacity Utilisation
- Management and de-bottlenecking
- Scenario planning
- Intervention Management
- Portfolio Lifecycle Management
Your responsibilities include:
- Own current week +7 plan to the end of IBP Horizon period - considering labour and demand signal fluctuations vs fixed costs and plan numbers highlighting any projected increases or decreases.
- Sole point of contact for any changes/amendments to be made in Production and Processing plans.
- Ensure master data for new products are set up prior to critical path deadlines for production and material order to flow.
- Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) project meetings.
- Review of processing area ensuring capacity for production plan and flag any debottlenecking opportunities for the finished goods plan.
- Manage inventory to optimise safety stock targets for Finished Goods.
- Participate in Line speed and OEE review based on latest 12 weeks data.
- Maintain checks for Capacity Demand ratio.
- Prepare slide deck for participation in monthly Operational Review meetings.
- Coordinate with materials’ scheduler for any long term material availability constraint.
- Lead and ensure that all planned outages are built into the factory plan.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent experience).
- Experience of Planning/Procurement for 5 years (ideally in an FMCG environment).
- Detailed knowledge of best in class planning processes.
- Detailed knowledge of MRP process & systems (SAP / JDE, Rapid Response / Kinaxis preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and respond to changing priorities.
- Cost Mindset – Service and Performance.
- Ability to make timely decisions based on logical assumptions, factual information & consideration of resources, constraints & organisation values.
- Achievement focused and able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment.
- Experience of working as part of a multifunctional team with the ability to influence and challenge others.
