As a Process Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring process stability, quality, and performance within the Cell in a regulated OTC Health Factory environment. You will ensure all processes operate within validated parameters, deliver Right First Time output, and continuously improve through loss elimination. Working closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations, you will play a key role in developing sustainable process capability, driving technical understanding, and supporting continuous improvement across the team. You will act as the subject matter expert for process control and analytics, enabling strong performance and reducing chronic losses.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop the operating team’s technical capability and mastery of process control.
- Lead data analytics for line losses, using insights to identify root causes and drive improvements.
- Interpret and analyse process data to support decision‑making and performance optimisation.
- Apply expert knowledge in problem‑solving tools to eliminate recurring losses.
- Coach operators and line teams on process understanding and standard work.
- Own and manage key DMS elements: Centre Line, Changeover, Change Management, Process Definition, and Chronic Loss Problem‑Solving.
- Ensure processes operate within MHRA and EMA GMP requirements.
- Maintain process control, data integrity, and product safety across all unit operations.
- Manage process changes through formal change control and validation.
- Lead process‑related root cause analysis and drive loss elimination initiatives.
- Maintain and improve process standards, control plans, and SOPs.
- Partner with Quality on deviations, investigations, and CAPAs.
- Ensure strong CIL execution, operator process capability, and adherence to standards.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical/OTC environment.
- Strong understanding of process control, data integrity, and regulated operations.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to drive decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Expertise in problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., RCA, PDCA, Six Sigma tools).
- Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement and loss‑elimination initiatives.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, able to build technical capability within the team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations.
- High attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
