About the role

As Head of Corporate Affairs, UK, you’ll be responsible for Reckitt’s engagement with key corporate stakeholders, policymakers, parliamentarians and the UK government.

Your responsibilities

In summary, you will:

  • Maintain strategic relationships with government, policymakers and parliamentarians, regularly meeting with them to build trust, mitigate potential obstacles and convey the company’s priorities.
  • Act as a strategic adviser to the leadership team of Reckitt in the UK.
  • Help advance the public policy and advocacy strategy for the company, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure alignment between business objectives, policy and stakeholder outreach goals.
  • Collaborate closely with global corporate affairs colleagues, particularly corporate affairs leads in other key markets, and Reckitt’s global corporate affairs leads for policy, media and operations.
  • Work with key senior business partners across Reckitt’s businesses and functions such as R&D, supply, regulatory and legal.
  • Build intelligence and understanding of business-critical issues by tracking, monitoring and advising on important changes in regulatory or legislative matters affecting Reckitt’s home market.

The experience we’re looking for

  • Around 10 years of corporate affairs / communications / public affairs experience.
  • Experience working across corporate affairs, public policy, government affairs and media in the UK, either in government, political parties, civil service or consultancy.
  • Strategic thinker who prioritises business outcomes.
  • You are a team player with strong collaboration skills and a can-do attitude to blend into a multicultural, multi-functional work environment.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and comfortably interact with all levels of management.
  • You are adept at distilling complex ideas and communicating with clarity.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable to work under pressure.
