As an R&D Category Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance. Working within our Category Pain team - Nurofen - you’ll help drive technical product development on key projects. Ultimately, you’ll help us create new products that solve real problems and improve the lives of millions of people globally.
This role will be split as required between the Formulation and Analytical functions in the Pain R&D team. While in analytical responsibilities will include supporting analytical testing, method development and data interpretation across multiple product formats. Conducting HPLC, wet chemistry and dissolution testing, Formulation responsibilities would be centred around new product development within the formulations laboratories. Using QBD standards to support the development of innovative solutions to consumer needs. All deliverables would be completed while maintaining high standards of compliance to established GMP and safety standards. Supporting medicinal regulatory dossier preparation for global submissions and collaborating cross-functionally across R&D and other business areas, contributing to new product development for the pain portfolio of products.
Your responsibilities:
- Working a 80/20 split between lab and office.
- You will support the analytical leads on a variety of projects.
- Day to day coordination/execution of analytical testing (in particular HPLC, wet chemistry techniques and dissolution) in conformance with all relevant safety and quality requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the NPD process from product development through to launch.
- Communicate effectively with your line manager and manage stakeholder relationships across global R&D sites.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Degree qualified in a relevant Scientific Discipline.
- Experience in an analytical lab environment, ideally with HPLC and dissolution techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional attributes:
- Creative and tenacious problem solver and must have a proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC analysis or dissolution would be beneficial.
- Good theoretical knowledge of analytical methodology.
- A great communicator who is confident in taking the lead on small projects.
