RECfinancial are currently shortlisting for this Leicestershire based business as it looks to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis. This well-known business has a strong reputation within its field and looks to strengthen its team. You will report into a passionate Payroll Manager and play an integral part of ensuring all areas of payroll are compliant with HMRC, pensions and payments. You will assist the Payroll Manager and help the team in general.
Your role will involve:
- Organising and prioritising your workload, maintaining an up-to-date task list.
- Processing payroll adhering to both weekly and monthly schedules.
- Verifying accuracy of PAYE, NI, and pension deductions; ensuring compliance with RTI and auto-enrolment regulations.
- Handling client communications, including payroll reports and compliance submissions.
- Managing PAYE and pension payments, and registering relevant schemes.
- Addressing all areas of Payroll queries in a professional manner.
What do we require as the Senior Payroll Administrator?
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll, including calculations, PAYE/NI thresholds and pension schemes.
- Experience with systems such as Sage or Xero would be advantageous.
- CIS returns are a bonus but not essential.
- Ability to assist and mentor team members and cover for the Payroll Manager as needed.
- Effective communication with management and maintaining confidentiality is essential.
