RECfinancial are exclusively recruiting for an Interim Payroll Manager on behalf of a thriving, forward-thinking organisation based in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and continuously growing company, where you\\\βll take ownership of the entire payroll life cycle. This is a Monday to Friday role, offered on a hybrid basis, working in modern open-plan offices alongside a supportive and collaborative team. Commutable from Glenfield, Enderby, Leicester and Leicestershire.

What will the Payroll Manager role look like?
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for delivering the entire payroll life cycle for the company, with support from the Payroll Assistant. This Payroll Manager role will ensure all employee payments are processed accurately, on time and in full compliance with all statutory obligations. This role offers a great opportunity to grow and develop your own skills while supporting the wellbeing of the wider team.
Responsibilities
- Processing multiple payrolls and pension submissions for a large, varied employee population.
- Resolve any payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement solutions
- Submitting accurate HMRC
- Payroll reporting and analysis
- Administration of employee benefits i.e. pensions and life assurance
- Reporting on the administration of pension contributions and auto-enrolment
- Accurate calculation of all absences, including statutory pay calculations and deductions.
- Ensuring P11D and all Tax Year-End procedures are run accurately and on time, including P60s.
- Ensuring the upload of BACS files in a timely manner.
- Reviewing monthly payroll journals and payment of PAYE and AOE.
Skills and Experience
- Ideally a professional relevant qualification (Member of Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP))
- Experience of working within a similar sized organisation and payroll complexity.
- In-depth hands-on experience of payroll software and its integration with a HR Information System.
- Responsible for a large portfolio of payroll
- Current knowledge of PAYE, NIC, HMRC returns and pensions, adhering to UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience of leading and developing colleagues is highly desirable.
