Mission
As Night Manager, you will ensure full management supervision of the hotel during night hours, maintaining seamless operations, accurate reporting and exceptional guest service. You will lead the night team, ensuring all procedures, security standards and financial controls are followed, while acting as the senior decision-maker in the absence of senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hotel during night operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
- Act as Duty Manager, taking full responsibility for the hotel overnight
- Ensure all night audit reports and system processes are completed accurately and on time
- Supervise and support the night team, ensuring awareness of occupancy levels, events and operational priorities
- Deliver excellent guest service, handling queries and resolving complaints efficiently
- Support the front desk team to ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring compliance with health & safety, fire and licensing regulations
- Monitor and enforce financial procedures, including credit control, allowances and adjustments
- Ensure effective communication and handover between day and night teams
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents, actions and operational updates
What we’re looking for
- Experience in Front Office or Night Management within a hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, night audit and Duty Management procedures
- Proven ability to lead and supervise teams effectively
- Strong guest service skills with experience handling complaints and problem-solving
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
- Knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and security procedures
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts
