Responsibilities
- Ensure all guests are welcomed and checked-in into the hotel in a warm, genuine and professional manner, and where possible address them by name.
- Provide clear information on check-out procedures.
- Project a helpful and enthusiastic attitude while offering choices, anticipating and identifying guest expectations so that their needs are met and where possible exceeded.
- Be aware of current hotel availability and propose up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise room occupancy and hotel revenue.
- Present all accounts to company and agency bills with compliant back-up and provide the corresponding invoice to guests.
- Observe all security, health and safety regulations and act appropriately during emergency situations in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Carry out all duties with due regard for the specifications of relevant legislation and undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by senior reception staff or management.
- File all new arrivals registration cards after they have been completed by the guest, ensuring contact details are accurate.
Qualifications
- OPERA knowledge.
- Fluency in English; additional Spanish language skills are beneficial.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
