About the Role:
Sydney House Hotel Chelsea is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to support the daily operation of the housekeeping department. The successful candidate will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. This role would suit either an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor or an ambitious Room Attendant looking to take the next step in their hospitality career. Please note that this is a hands-on role and the expectation of the Housekeeping Supervisor would be to clean rooms on a daily basis. Being able to clean up to 12 rooms, at a high standard would be expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the housekeeping team on a daily basis.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
- Ensure all hotel windows have been cleaned to Hotel's standard.
- Allocate daily tasks and room assignments efficiently.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and linens.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the relevant department.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain excellent communication with Reception and Management teams.
- Help deliver an exceptional guest experience through high cleaning standards and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment.
- Supervisory experience preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Right to work in the UK.
