A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GUEST SERVICE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL What you'll be doing...

  • Welcome guests on arrival and provide a warm, friendly and efficient check-in and check-out experience
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests and reservations, ensuring every guest feels well looked after
  • Provide information about the hotel and local area and assist guests throughout their stay
  • Manage reception calls, emails and day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Handle payments, billing and cash accurately and in line with hotel procedures
  • Prepare and serve drinks at the bar and assist with breakfast service as required
  • Help with keeping reception, bar and kitchen areas clean and tidy
  • Follow all hotel, food safety and health and safety procedures
  • Go the extra mile for special requests, adding that extra touch to make guests’ stays memorable.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Previous experience in a hotel reception or guest-facing role is preferred
  • Knowledge of hotel reception procedures, reservations and guest services
  • Strong communication skills, confident chatting with guests and working closely with team members
  • Sharp attention to detail, particularly when handling guest requests, reservations and payments
  • A natural problem-solver who can think on their feet and handle any situation with a positive attitude
  • A team player who is happy to jump in and help wherever needed to keep things running smoothly
  • High energy and adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
