About the Company
We are a highly respected, fast-growing family-run business looking for a motivated Lift Service Engineer to join our team. Purpose of the Role
The Lift Service Engineer is responsible for the servicing, callouts, and repair of all lift equipment in accordance with current British and European Standards. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring lift systems operate safely and reliably while delivering exceptional customer service across our contracted sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing planned and reactive maintenance across all lift contracts.
- Responding to emergency callouts and performing necessary remedial works.
- Carrying out asset verification and reporting findings.
- Completing digital job sheets accurately and on time.
- Installing replacement or additional lift equipment as required.
- Participating in the on-call rota.
- Conducting site surveys and supporting the training of apprentices.
- Representing the company professionally to all clients and customers.
Person Specification
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant industry experience is essential.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (Essential).
- Knowledge: A good understanding of the latest British Standards for lifts.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Requirements: Asbestos awareness training and Social Housing experience are desirable but not essential.
