Location: London (Various Routes Available) - to cover all of London and surrounding areas (will work with others within the Repair team – so location can be flexible in accordance with the rest of the team/who is nearest etc)

About the Opportunity:

Highly respected, fast-growing family-run lift company looking for an experienced Lift Repair Engineer to join our London-based team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who values a supportive working environment where engineers are treated as individuals rather than just numbers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Service and Repair, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs in accordance with current British and European Standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Executing planned repair works, shutdowns, and addressing insurance defects.
  • Repairing and replacing door equipment.
  • Managing all types of re-rope configurations.
  • Changing divertors, motors, and sheaves.
  • Installation of autodiallers and GSM units.
  • Upgrading car and shaft lighting.
  • Assisting with the training and development of apprentices.
  • Maintaining a professional and diligent manner when interacting with clients.
  • Experience with hydraulics and gear work is highly desirable.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (Essential).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant industry experience in a repair-focused role.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of the latest British Standards for lifts.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and manage duties under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: A concise approach with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
  • Social Housing experience and Asbestos Awareness training: beneficial but not essential.
