Reclifts are partnering with a highly respected, long-established independent lift company to recruit a Service / Repair / Callout Engineer for the London area, with the majority of work in and around Central London, near the West End/Regent’s Park/City of Westminster area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, hard-working engineer to join a supportive team where people are genuinely looked after and teamwork is a core part of how they operate.

The role

  • Carry out servicing, repairs, fault-finding and callouts on lifts across London (around 90% central London).
  • Participate in a 1-in-4 callout rota (Monday 5pm to Monday 8am).
  • Work closely with a small, experienced team and contribute to a high standard of customer service.
  • Some Saturday servicing as part of shared overtime requirements.

What’s on offer

  • Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
  • Standby 1 in 4: £220 per callout week (in addition to salary).
  • Callout rates: £70 per call on weekdays, £90 at weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Overtime: 1.33x weekdays, 1.5x weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Company van for business use (full clean licence required).
  • Phone/PDA, full uniform and PPE provided.
  • 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Personal Accident & Illness cover.
  • All congestion charge, fuel and parking costs covered by the company.
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.
  • Start date: ASAP.

About you

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong background in service, repair, fault-finding and callout on lifts.
  • Able to commute to central London within one hour.
  • A genuine team player with good communication skills and a professional approach.
