Senior Estimator

The Company We are partnering with a well-established regional main contractor with over 40 years of industry experience, specialising in design and build, maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out services across a diverse range of sectors, including Industrial, Residential, Commercial, Retail, and Hospitality. With an annual turnover exceeding £50 million, they consistently deliver high-quality projects, typically valued between £1 million and £20 million. Their proven expertise, backed by decades of experience, ensures they deliver exceptional results across all phases of construction and renovation. The Role Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team in London working on schemes across the London and Southeast. As the Senior Estimator you will be expected to lead the tender process and work independently on multiple bids with input from the Directors. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assess new tenders, checking for completeness and accuracy of information supplied * Ability to interpret Geotechnical Reports, Archaeological Reports, Site Surveys and Contamination reports * Marking up supplier and subcontractor enquiries to enable competitive quotations to be obtained * Measure or schedule materials quantities for enquiry send‐outs * Prepare take-offs in line with SMM7 & NRM * Use Bluebeam and CAD‐Measure to take off quantities from drawings * Build up analytical unit rates and lump sum prices * Scheduling and comparisons of subcontractor and supplier quotes including adjusting allowances for exclusions, clarifications etc, in order to compare on a like‐for‐like basis * Produce a full set of Preliminaries for the project in question
