With a turnover in the region of £50 million, they have recently launched a development team to take on properties across London.
Are you an experienced Design Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process across multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is a pivotal role where you will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the design process across multiple projects from concept through to completion
- Develop and implement design management strategies, processes, and programmes aligned with project objectives
- Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to ensure efficient delivery of design information
- Work closely with the Pre-Construction team during tender submissions and bid development
- Review and approve design documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and client requirements
- Identify and manage design-related risks, implementing practical solutions to minimise programme or cost impacts
- Collaborate with Project Managers and construction teams to ensure the design supports the overall delivery strategy
- Chair and participate in design meetings, monitoring progress and driving timely decision-making
- Mentor and support members of the design team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
