Our client is currently seeking to recruit a passionate Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London. Officeâbased five days per week, with site visits as required. Responsible for managing the dayâtoâday commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring procurement, reporting, and other commercial functions are completed on time and in line with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring budgets, forecasts, and valuations are accurate and aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee contract administration, including JCT/NEC/bespoke contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating commercial risk.
- Provide strategic commercial advice to project teams and clients, supporting decisionâmaking on cost, programme, and value engineering.
- Manage and mentor junior QSs or commercial staff, ensuring consistent application of processes and highâquality reporting.
- Monitor project financial performance, including variations, change orders, and cost reporting, proactively addressing issues to protect margins.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractual disputes or claims, resolving issues efficiently while safeguarding commercial interests.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to optimise project outcomes and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
