Our client is an established national repairs and maintenance contractor delivering social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment and property improvement programmes across the UK.
They work with housing associations, local authorities and public sector clients, delivering a wide range of property services.
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a programme of large-scale residential refurbishment works in the Firth of Clyde area.
The role will involve managing multiple residential refurbishment projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Works will include kitchens, bathrooms, internal refurbishment, mechanical and electrical installations, joinery, decoration, roofing and associated external works.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, labour, suppliers and materials.
- Manage programmes, quality, health & safety and site performance.
- Monitor progress and proactively address delays or programme risks.
- Carry out site inspections, snagging and quality checks.
- Manage RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and photographic evidence.
- Liaise with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Manage final inspections, handover and project completion.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security, access and site requirements.
- Identify variations and additional works and support the commercial team with accurate reporting.
Requirements
- Experience managing residential refurbishment and maintenance programmes, including occupied and void properties.
- Valid SMSTS.
- Valid First Aid at Work.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Basic DBS clearance or ability to obtain.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong understanding of quality, snagging and handover processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and digital site reporting systems.
Desirable: Experience within MOD, defence, public sector or secure-site environments, and experience managing refurbishment programmes across multiple properties or sites
