JOB SUMMARY The Compliance Officer will support our client in developing and implementing compliance strategies that ensure the company's operations adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. This role focuses on managing SSIP and ISO accreditations, ensuring compliance within the supply chain, and promoting sustainability and quality throughout the organisation. You will play a key role in promoting a cultural shift towards sustainable and socially responsible business operations. In addition to overseeing compliance, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments and audits, providing training to staff on compliance-related issues, and preparing detailed reports for senior management. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement in our compliance processes and systems, making a significant impact on the company's overall performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES • Accreditation Management: Maintain and manage the Groups SSIP and ISO accreditations. • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standard, with a main focus on Sustainability and Quality. • Supply Chain Compliance: Oversee and manage the compliance of the supply chain, ensuring all suppliers adhere to company policies and industry regulation via the SafeContractor portal or other systems. • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures. • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions. • Training & Education: Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related issues. • Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to Line Manager and Stake Holders. • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in compliance processes and systems. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all company activities comply with relevant regulations and accreditation standards. • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including suppliers, staff, and regulatory bodies. • Documentation: Ensure all compliance documentation is up-to-date and accurate. • Reporting: Regularly report on compliance status to senior management. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED • Knowledge of Accreditation Standards: In-depth knowledge of Industry SSIPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards • SSIP Knowledge: Knowledge of the industries SSIP requirements. • Risk Management: Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions. • Audit Skills: Experience in conducting audits and preparing audit reports. • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.
