We’re working with a growing organisation that is investing significantly in its technology capability and is looking to appoint an experienced Technology Delivery Manager to help drive the delivery of a major digital platform and wider technology initiatives. This is a broad delivery role sitting between technology leadership, internal stakeholders and technical teams. You’ll be responsible for turning strategic priorities into clear, structured and achievable delivery plans, while helping to establish consistent and effective ways of working across a developing technology function. This is not a traditional project management role. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a product-led environment, can bring structure to ambiguity and knows how to keep delivery moving without introducing unnecessary process.
The opportunity could suit someone currently working as a Technology Delivery Manager, Senior Delivery Manager, Technical Programme Manager, Digital Transformation Manager, Transformation Lead, Agile Delivery Manager or in a similar technology delivery role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the end-to-end delivery of technology products and initiatives
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, sequenced delivery plans and roadmaps
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to maintain focus on priorities and outcomes
- Facilitate effective stand-ups, sprint reviews and other delivery ceremonies
- Identify and resolve risks, blockers and dependencies before they impact delivery
- Provide clear and concise delivery updates to senior stakeholders
- Help establish effective technology governance and delivery frameworks
- Support the continued development of Agile and product-led ways of working
- Coordinate delivery across a mix of internal teams and external suppliers
- Continually improve delivery practices, processes and reporting
- Provide coaching, mentoring and support to others within the delivery environment
What we’re looking for:
- A strong track record of delivering complex technology, software or digital initiatives
- Experience working within product-led, platform, software or digital environments
- Strong understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery approaches
- Experience translating strategic objectives into practical delivery plans and roadmaps
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to challenge constructively
- Experience managing competing priorities, dependencies, risks and changing requirements
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or equivalent
- Experience managing, mentoring or coaching others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, commercially minded and outcome-focused approach to delivery
We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including senior delivery management, technical programme management, digital transformation, Agile delivery, technology change or product operations, provided you have strong experience delivering technology in a complex environment. Experience within legal services, professional services, consulting or another complex stakeholder-led environment would be advantageous, but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broader ownership than a traditional project management role. You’ll have the chance to influence how technology is delivered, help shape working practices and play a key role in the development of a growing digital capability.
