An established multi-branch business is looking for a Payroll & Compliance Administrator to take ownership of weekly payroll hours and compliance records for its drivers and agency workers. The role is split between processing hours accurately and keeping driver, agency and branch documentation complete and ready for client audits.

This is an administration role rather than a specialist payroll position. It suits an organised, phone-confident administrator who resolves issues with a call rather than just emailing and who wants to take on more responsibility.

The company

A multi-branch business working with its own drivers, second-tier agency workers, subcontractors and clients. The team values quick response times, ownership of workload and a high level of service.

The role includes:

  • Payroll administration
    • Weekly data entry using Excel and an internal hours system.
    • Processing payroll hours for company drivers and second-tier agency workers.
    • Checking rates and identifying discrepancies.
    • Generating agency reports and handling payroll queries.
  • Compliance administration
    • Maintaining driver right-to-work documents, licences and other compliance records.
    • Tracking agency and branch documentation in Excel spreadsheets.
    • Chasing up drivers, subcontractors and agencies for missing paperwork.
    • Auditing document packs so they are complete and ready for client audits.
    • Managing a high volume of documents, driven by agency staff turnover.

Who this would suit

  • An administrator with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident on the phone and able to build rapport with drivers, agencies, clients and subcontractors.
  • Proactive, picking up the phone to resolve issues.
  • Quick to respond and takes ownership of their workload.
  • Enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to a high level of service.
  • Keen to take on more responsibility.

Apply in complete confidence.
