A leading recruitment consultancy specialising in Construction, Civil Engineering, Rail, Utilities and Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its growing team. With an established reputation for delivering high-quality recruitment solutions across permanent, contract and temporary markets, the business partners with some of the UK’s most recognised contractors and specialist subcontractors, providing access to a strong client base and consistent flow of vacancies.

This role offers the successful candidate access to an abundance of warm accounts and established client relationships, enabling you to generate revenue from day one. Operating within a dual-desk environment, you will have the opportunity to develop both a permanent and contract recruitment desk, maximising your earning potential while building long-term client partnerships across multiple hiring streams. You will inherit and grow a well-established client base comprising leading Main Contractors, Civil Engineering Contractors and Specialist Sub-Contractors across the construction, infrastructure, rail and utilities sectors.

The desk covers a broad spectrum of white-collar construction and infrastructure positions, including Site Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers, Commercial Managers, Operations Managers and Project Directors, providing access to high-value vacancies and repeat business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and developing relationships with existing clients across the construction and infrastructure sectors
  • Building and growing both permanent and contract revenue streams
  • Sourcing, interviewing and placing high‑calibre white‑collar construction professionals
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy qualification through to offer management and placement
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
  • Developing long-term relationships with candidates and key industry stakeholders
  • Negotiating commercial terms and recruitment agreements
  • Consistently achieving and exceeding individual revenue targets
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous recruitment experience within Construction, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Rail, Utilities or a related technical market
  • Proven success within permanent, contract or dual‑desk recruitment
  • Strong client management and business development skills
  • Commercially driven with a consultative approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
