We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in South East London, working with pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This is a long-term, full-time position starting in January, offering stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a crucial stage of pupils' development. You will be working in a nurturing, well-resourced environment that places strong emphasis on inclusion, communication, and individual progress.

Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with MLD
  • Create a safe, structured, and stimulating Early Years learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN staff
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EHCP targets
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues

Early Years Teacher Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching in Early Years (EYFS), SEN experience highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of Moderate Learning Difficulties and inclusive practice
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable teaching approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
