This hands-on role will involve developing and executing email campaigns, managing the end-to-end process of briefing, working with our in-house design team, ensuring email approval, analysing customer behaviour, and driving initiatives that enhance customer engagement and retention.

Morleys Stores Group is dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our customers, and for our marketing to reflect this! Reporting to the Head of CRM & E-Commerce, you will get to grow your CRM skillset through the creation of marketing campaigns to support and grow our long-standing high-street stores that serve as the go-to location for Women’s and Men’s Fashion, Beauty and Home. You will also support the development of our e-commerce site, driving traffic to support with new launches and promoting store events.

We have a data-driven approach to continuously evolving our Marketing strategy and communications. Combined with the range of products and brands you will interact with, this is an interesting and growth role, great for a marketing professional to develop their retail industry knowledge. The role is based in our Wimbledon Head Office, above our flagship store Elys, at a two-minute walk from Wimbledon station. You will join a friendly and driven team who work in one of our busiest stores, and enjoy a staff discount in our stores.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build, test and schedule emails according to the Marketing Schedule, with the customer email journey optimised for both in-store and online shopping.
  • Deliver both broadcast (adhoc) and automated (lifecycle) email campaigns.
  • Manage campaigns from ideation through to execution.
  • Build relationships across departments to develop customer insights and product knowledge.
  • Produce clear and inspiring creative briefs for email campaigns, working with the in-house designers to manage the process from conception to delivery.
  • Create weekly email campaign performance reports, to present for the weekly trade meeting.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of CRM strategies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support generating new ways to target, retain and increase the value of customers through email marketing, store events, and our Loyalty programme.

Your Skills

  • Proven experience in an email marketing role is essential, preferably within the retail industry, with an understanding of campaign briefing, building, best practices and reporting.
  • Experience of using CRM platforms and reporting tools. Ometria is strongly desired, or a willingness to learn and quickly upskill.
  • Confidence and the ability to brief the design team with good communication and organisation skills is key.
  • A self-starter: can work independently and as part of a wider team, who will nurture good working relationships across our internal business, and with brand partners.
  • Pro-active approach and keen to learn and grow your product and customer knowledge.
  • Creatively-minded with excellent attention to detail and strong copywriting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns/projects simultaneously and be organised in your work so you can deliver to deadlines.
  • A quick learner and self-motivated.
  • Flexible and enjoys (or thrives!) working in a fast-paced environment.
