RECfinancial are partnering with a well-established and highly respected engineering business to recruit a Finance Manager based in Rugby. Commutable from Coventry, Rugby, Daventry, Lutterworth, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Hinckley and surrounding areas.

Reporting to senior leadership, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function within a busy, project-led engineering environment. This role requires a confident and personable finance professional with strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across the business. You will act as a key representative of the finance function within operations and projects, providing commercial insight, influencing decision-making and constructively challenging where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Production of management accounts and financial reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Financial controls, governance and audit preparation
  • Supporting operational and project teams with financial analysis and commercial insight
  • Driving process improvements and efficiencies
  • Managing and developing a small finance team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent Finance Manager experience
  • Strong management accounting and financial control experience
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction or another project-led environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel and systems knowledge
  • The confidence to influence, challenge and support non-finance teams
