RECfinancial have been engaged by a successful SME based near Loughborough to recruit an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper.

The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established, owner-managed SME, is looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and work alongside a fellow accounts professional, playing a key role in the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business. Due to the company's location, this role is commutable from Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping, accounts and basic reporting
  • Payroll, PAYE and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
  • Purchase and sales ledger
  • Invoice checking and posting
  • Subcontractor payments via CIS
  • General office administration
  • Office-based role

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a hands-on accounting role
  • Knowledge of payroll and CIS is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and admin skills
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Organised, deadline-driven and proactive
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Confident using accounting systems and general IT

The Package

  • Permanent appointment
  • Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience, Pro Rata)
  • Hours: 25-30 hours per week
