RECfinancial is currently recruiting an experienced Digital & Outsourcing Senior Management Accountant for a well-established Leicestershire-based accountancy practice. This is a fabulous opportunity for an experienced candidate to showcase their skills. The organisation has a professional, traditional yet modern and friendly culture, offering hybrid working after probation and prioritises staff well-being. The business has seen significant growth over recent years and shows no signs of slowing down. Based in Leicester, the role is easily accessible by car from all areas of Leicestershire, Nottingham, Coventry and Derby.

The role reports directly into Senior Management and covers key areas such as day-to-day management accounts, cash flow forecasting, client liaison and assistance with digital transformation. It requires a hands-on individual capable of working independently with strong systems knowledge. There is no pressure to manage year-end financials or tax; the focus is on preparing high-quality management accounts and delivering clear financial insights to support client decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong working relationships
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Analyse financial performance and provide clear commentary
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial projections
  • Process journals and period-end adjustments (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Review accounting records and resolve queries
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to process improvements and the use of cloud accounting technology to enable digital outsourcing.
Qualifications & Skills
  • AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Strong systems knowledge including Xero, Sage, Dext and Excel
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
