An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Consultant to join the team to develop their Wakefield-based business across the Industrial sector. This role involves generating sustainable business with key clients and local companies with an emphasis on SME companies in the short term and larger business as part of a longer-term plan. You will have a proven track record within outbound recruitment industry sales as the role will involve visiting client premises to determine recruitment needs leading to business conversion, generating leads and new business. An in-depth understanding of the Recruitment Industry is vital.

The role will be autonomous, whilst working with a wider team and will include:

  • Canvassing prospective clients, visiting premises, and selling the services of the agency.
  • Thorough understanding of the local recruitment marketplace.
  • Growing the existing customer database from proactive sales and regular contact.
  • Establishing opportunities for further growth.
  • Understanding the competitor marketplace and future opportunities available.
  • Preparing supplier agreements and proposals.
  • Personal diary management.
